All GIVI products are warranted against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for the following period from the date of original purchase:

• Hard Cases: 2 years

• All Other Products: 1 year

This warranty is provided subject to the terms and conditions set out below and is in addition to the rights provided under applicable Malaysian consumer laws, including the Consumer Protection Act 1999, where applicable.

1. WARRANTY PROVISIONS

If a product is found to be defective within the applicable warranty period, it will be repaired or replaced at the sole discretion of GIVI or its authorized distributor.

The warranty is valid only under the following conditions:

• The product is purchased from an authorized GIVI dealer.

• The product is installed, used, and maintained in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.

• The product is used under normal riding conditions and for its intended purpose.

• The GIVI rack system is used exclusively with original GIVI cases and accessories.

2. SCOPE OF WARRANTY

• The warranty covers only the specific component(s) determined to be defective and does not automatically extend to replacement of the entire product.

• All warranty claims are subject to inspection and technical evaluation by GIVI or its authorized distributor.

• GIVI reserves the exclusive right to determine whether the defect is due to manufacturing fault or external causes.

• The warranty applies only to defects existing prior to or arising from normal use after installation.

3. WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS

This warranty does NOT cover any damage, defect, or failure resulting from:

3.1 External Impact & Road Hazards

• External forces including but not limited to:

• • Potholes

  • Road irregularities

  • Accidents or collisions

  • Off-road or uneven terrain use

• Structural failure caused by:

• • Sudden impact

  • Excessive vibration

  • Abnormal or unintended stress beyond normal riding conditions

3.2 Misuse, Improper Use & Overloading

• Use outside intended purpose or not in accordance with instructions

• Overloading beyond recommended limits

• Improper distribution of load

• Rough handling, abuse, or negligence

3.3 Improper Installation

• Incorrect or improper installation

• Installation by unqualified personnel

• Failure to follow mounting instructions

• Interference with motorcycle components due to improper fitting

3.4 Non-Compatible or Non-GIVI Components

• Use with non-GIVI cases or accessories

• Installation without proper and original GIVI rack system

3.5 Modification & Unauthorized Repair

• Products that have been:

• • Modified

  • Altered

  • Repaired or tampered with by unauthorized persons

3.6 Environmental & Chemical Factors

• Exposure to:

• • Harmful chemicals

  • Solvents or corrosive substances

• Damage caused by heat sources, including proximity to motorcycle exhaust systems

3.7 Normal Wear & Tear

• General wear and tear over time

• Cosmetic deterioration including:

• • Fading or discoloration due to UV exposure

  • Faster fading of neon or special finishes

3.8 Transportation & Storage

• Damage occurring during transportation, handling, or storage after purchase

 

---

 

3.9 Administrative Conditions

• Warranty terms altered or modified in any manner without authorization

• Claims submitted without valid proof of purchase

4. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• GIVI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including but not limited to:

• • Loss of use

  • Loss of income

  • Inconvenience

• GIVI shall not be responsible for any damage to motorcycles, property, or personal injury arising from:

• • Improper installation

  • Misuse

  • Use outside intended conditions

Nothing in this clause shall exclude or limit any rights which cannot be excluded under Malaysian law.

5. WARRANTY CLAIM PROCEDURE

To initiate a warranty claim:

• Submit the Warranty Registration Form together with a valid purchase receipt via the official website or authorized dealer.

• The product must be returned for inspection upon request.

• The authorized dealer will process and forward the claim to GIVI.

Warranty service will only be provided upon verification and approval of the claim.

6. SERVICE TURNAROUND

GIVI will make reasonable efforts to complete repairs or replacements within a reasonable time. However, GIVI shall not be liable for delays due to circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to logistics, parts availability, or third-party services.

7. GENERAL CONDITIONS

• This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser.

• GIVI reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions without prior notice, subject to applicable laws.

• This warranty shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Malaysia.

IMPORTANT GIVI RACKING SYSTEM INFORMATION

To ensure safety and prevent damage to the motorcycle and product, please note:

• GIVI products are designed as multi-component systems, and slight variations in motorcycle frames, welded points, and bends may affect installation.

• Installation should be performed by qualified personnel.

• Ensure that all components:

• • Do not interfere with motorcycle parts (frame, silencers, shock absorbers, etc.)

  • Are correctly aligned before tightening

GIVI shall not be responsible for any damage resulting from:

• Improper installation

• Incorrect fitting

• Use of unsuitable or non-original parts

Suggested Fitting Procedure

• Install supports and screws without fully tightening, following the mounting instructions.

• Align all components and ensure no interference with motorcycle parts.

• Tighten screws sequentially and check tightness periodically.

If any component is missing or defective, please contact your dealer or GIVI directly. Do not use unsuitable or substitute parts.
